The cartridge .221 Remington Fireball was 1962/63 launched with the gun XP -100 Remington. The cartridge has a very high gas pressure of about 3500 bar. The sleeve length is 35.56 mm. The bottom diameter is 9.60 mm. The cartridge is mainly used in the United States. There are really only three uses varmints, benchrest shooting, and silhouette shooting.
