Properties
The colorless liquid with ammoniacal odor turns brown on prolonged contact with air or iron. The vapors of 1 -amino -2 -ol are heavier (2.59 times) than air.
Use
- As an intermediate for the production of color - and drugs, as well as esters, amides and salts of higher molecular weight fatty acids, which are as a detergent, oil-in -water emulsifiers suitable ( in cosmetics), and the like
