1. FC Germania 08 Ober-Roden

Germania Ober -Roden, officially: 1st Soccer Club Germania Ober-Roden 08 eV, is a football club with approximately 650 members from the South Hessian Mark Roeder ( district of Ober-Roden ).

History

The club was founded on 10 April 1908 and is the first and also the oldest football club in football Dieburg. After the Second World War, the club from 1952 to 1963 was eleven years at the first amateur league Hesse, then Hesse's highest football league for amateur clubs. The best result was achieved in 1960, when it was tied behind SpVgg Bad Homburg third parties and in the playoff for promotion to the Regionalliga Süd after dramatic gameplay with 1:2 lost to the Bad Homburg.

After the club relegated in the subsequent period up to the A- League, it was after many ups and downs until the return to the national league in 1992 sporty again steadily upwards. 2003 increased the Germans under coach Peter Lack again to the Oberliga Hessen, of which they were three seasons. In the first year after relegation in 2006 the first FC Germania 08 Ober-Roden succeeded as division champion with 19 points ahead of the direct promotion back to the Oberliga Hessen. In the 2007 /08 premier league season, the team of ex -National player " Ronny " Borchers was trained. 2008/09, served three times the Romanian football player and ex-pro Daniel Ciucă as a coach, who resigned for health reasons on 29 September 2008. The club had before the First World War, as well as athletes from 1935 to 1950 a handball section with men's, women 's and youth teams. In the 1960s, the Germania took with a women's football team for many years successfully participated in the schedule of the football Frankfurt region. The club has a strong youth section and in addition at senior level, a special team ( SOMA ). The first team plays today in the 1B- team league group Darmstadt and in the B league Dieburg.

For women there is a women's gymnastics group has almost 100 members and 2007 its 40th anniversary celebrated. 2006, the line dancing group " Boots'n'Buckles " the association has joined as a subdivision.

Venue

The first FC Germania Ober -Roden plays its home games at the club's sports facility " at the Frankfurter Straße". The sports complex consists of two large turf fields and a small playing field and a clubhouse with exercise room, covered terrace, club house restaurant, meeting room and various function rooms.
