1. FC Sand

The first FC Sand is a football club based in the Lower Franconian town of Sand am Main. It was founded in 1920 and has about 450 members (as of September 2009).

History

The club was relegated in 1981 the first time in the national league north. Sporty biggest success was the championship in 2000 and the rise in the Bayern league in which he stayed for two seasons. After that, the club was playing in the national league north. 2009 failed the club in second place of the national league in the relegation matches for Bayern League at the SpVgg Landshut. In the 2012/13 season, the club finally got a table next to last in the league from Bavaria in the country sechstklassige league.
