1. FC Schwalmstadt

The first FC Schwalm City is a football club based in the North Hessian town of Schwalm city. It was created in 2003 by merger of the football departments of the ESV Jahn 1871 Treysa and TuSpo goats grove.

Foundation

On 3 April 2003 the new club was founded in hotel and country inn yard Weidelbach in Schwalm city. As a board Gringel Heinrich, Willi nickel, Bernd Bick, Karl Schmidt, Jochen Helwig and Mayor William Kroll were elected. In addition, players from both football departments or of the new association were present. As logo is a combination of the logo and the emblem of the city Schwalm city was chosen. Because of the rapid, the great success of the new " Schwalm " team of the club learned quickly large popularity.

Achievements

In the first season after the founding of the association Schwalm dwellers increased in 2004 in the Oberliga Hessen. In 2005, the A- youth followed with the rise in the league in question. In the 2007 /08 season, the first team had to relegation from the premier league to accept, then in 2009 succeeded as master of Association League North of direct re- promotion to the top league now Hessian Hessian league called. After two years, followed in 2011, the renewed descent.

Stadiums

The first team wears their home games in the stadium on Fünftenweg in goats grove of which is since 2007 by Battenfeld Herbert ( 1925-2008 ), the longtime chairman and promoter of TuSpo goats grove named. In addition, the club continues to use the Schwalm- stadium of the ESV Jahn in Treysa.
