10,000 Days is the fourth album of the band Tool, which was released in late April / early May 2006. It was recorded at O'Henry ( Burbank, CA ), Grand Master and The Loft ( Hollywood, CA ), between 2004 and 2006. Worldwide, the plate reached the Top 10 of the album charts in the U.S., Australia and Austria even place first

The title 10,000 Days is probably referring to Keenan's mother, Judith Marie, who suffered 27 years, which is about 10,000 days from the effects of a brain aneurysm and died in 2003.

Cover

On the cover of the album head is depicted with three faces. It is supplied 3D glasses, which is incorporated into the cover. This takes you to view individual pictures in the booklet in their 3D shape can, including pictures of all band members. Responsible for the cover artwork was Alex Grey, who was responsible even for the design of its predecessor Lateralus. The 3D images were created by Ray Zone and the CGI elements of Alex Grey by means of Bayard Baudoin and Meats Meier. The cover includes an adaptation of Net of Being, also by Alex Grey. In the animated video by Vicarious that image appears in 3D on as infinite space.

On 5 May 2006, a notice was placed on the band's homepage that the four individual photographs are a kind of puzzle (of the band members ).

The album was awarded due to the cover at the Grammy Awards 2007 with the Best Recording Package ( Best packaging for an album ).
