1,1-dichloro- 1-fluoroethane is a chemical compound selected from the group consisting of saturated halocarbons.
Production and representation
1,1-dichloro- 1-fluoroethane can be obtained by fluorination of 1,1,1-trichloroethane with anhydrous hydrogen fluoride at 144 ° C, whereby 1 -chloro-1 ,1-difluoroethane is produced.
Properties
1,1-dichloro -1 -fluoro ethane is a highly volatile, colorless liquid with a faint ethereal odor, which is sparingly soluble in water. At temperatures above 200 ° C, the compound decomposes, with hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride and phosgene produced. The compound has a GWP of 600 and an ozone depletion potential of 0.11.
Use
1,1-dichloro- 1-fluoroethane is used as cleaning agent and for the Kunststoffverschäumung for PUR foams.
