11 friends - magazine for football culture is a German football magazine. It was founded in 2000 by Philipp Köster and Reinaldo Coddou H. and appears in Berlin 11 FRIENDS publishing since 2005. Content and style

11 Friends deals with aspects of German and international football culture away from the game results. It tells stories about football and its fans, often in a humorous style. The magazine was one of the first publications to recognize the " reappropriation " of football by the intellectuals, which is dated to about the mid-1990s, and served the niche of self-confessed football fans and enthusiasts a sophisticated, literary coverage. The name of the magazine goes back to the German coach Richard Girulatis, the first time the concept of "elf friend " coined around 1920 on the football field. Later, the author Sammy Drechsel adapted the slogan "Eleven friends you have to be " for his eponymous children's book classic.
