12-Meter-Band

As a 12 - meter band is defined as the frequency range of 24.89 MHz to 24.99 MHz. It lies in the short- wave spectrum and is a WARC band. The name is derived from the approximate wavelength of this frequency range.

Propagation conditions

The 12- meter band is very dependent on the solar activity. In good conditions, DX contacts are possible during the day, at night almost no opening band is present. During the sunspot minimum connections intercontinental kind are not possible.
