The 122- mm howitzer D -30 ( 2A18 ) (Russian 122- мм гаубица Д -30 ( 2А18 ) ) is a Soviet, now Russian medium howitzer with a caliber of 121.92 millimeters. It was constructed from 1954 to 1960, the responsible chief designer was FF Petrov. 122- mm howitzer D -30 was a designation of the Soviet Army and the manufacturer, Zavod No. 9 (Works No. 9). The 2A18 is another, equivalent denomination of GRAY (GRAY index).
