1,3-cyclohexadiene is a chemical compound from the group of unsaturated cyclic hydrocarbons and isomer to 1,4-cyclohexadiene.

Production and representation

1,3-cyclohexadiene can be obtained ( from cyclohexene and bromine) by elimination of hydrogen bromide from trans-1 ,2- dibromocyclohexane.

General can be obtained by cyclization of 1,3,5- hexatrienes 1,3 - cyclohexadiene.
