1,3-diaminopropane is an organic chemical compound consisting of the group of aliphatic amines. It is a colorless to yellow liquid with an amine-like odor and an isomer of 1,2- diaminopropane.
Production and representation
1,3-diaminopropane is prepared by addition of ammonia to acrylonitrile and subsequent hydrogenation.
Use
1,3-diaminopropane used to produce, among others, textile finishing agents, photographic chemicals, curing agents for epoxy resins, wood preservatives, drugs and pesticides.
