14WE
The railcar series 14WE the Szybka Kolej Miejska ( SKM ) in Warsaw are three-piece electric railcars. Another railcar was delivered to the Polish State Railways (PKP ) under the series designation EN61.
Series 14WE the SKM
2005, the city express trains in the Polish capital Warsaw was taken. Operators is the newly founded " Szybka Kolej Miejska ", which took over from the PKP some railcars of EN57 series.
As of 2005, six in Newag in Nowy Sacz EN57, a former maintenance facility ( ZNTK ) PKP, converted to low floor railcar series 14WE. Here, the complete structure and the engines were replaced.
The 14WE were first used on the line S1 Warsaw West - Warszawa - Falenica, from 2006 to the S1 replaced S2 Pruszków - Sulejówek in mixed operation with EN57. 2007 should receive two more 14WE the SKM.
EN61 series of PKP
A seventh 14WE was rebuilt in 2006 for PKP. This was classified as EN61 -01, also contributes but the number 14WE - 07th He has a gold-colored finish and comes as " Pociąg Papieski " ( Pope - train ) between Krakow and Wadowice used where a memorial has been set up in the birthplace of Karol Józef Wojtyła, later Pope John Paul II.
