The 152- mm howitzer M1943 ( D-1) (Russian 152- мм гаубица обр. 1943 г. ( Д -1)) was a Soviet heavy field howitzer with a caliber of 152.4 mm, which was used during the Second World War. It was constructed in 1943, the responsible chief designer was FF Petrov. A total of 2827 copies were manufactured. 152- mm howitzer M1943 was a designation of the Red Army and D-1 was another equivalent designation of the manufacturer, Sawod No.9 ( works No.9 ).
