17-Meter-Band

As a 17- meter band is called the frequency range from 18.068 MHz to 18.168 MHz. It lies in the short- wave spectrum and is a WARC band. The name is derived from the approximate wavelength of this frequency range.

Propagation conditions

The propagation of this DX - band are similar to the 15 meter band. In sunspot maximum DX contacts are almost continuously possible. At low sunspot number only sporadically during the day connections are possible. Disturbances by the atmosphere are rather rare.
