Background and songs
Altogether there are twelve songs on the album. Hometown Glory, the first single, finds himself in some American TV series, including Grey's Anatomy or skins. Chasing Pavements, the second single, reached number two in the British charts and chart entrances in the U.S., Germany and Austria the best response. The third single was followed by April 2008, the title Cold Shoulder. The title of Make You Feel My Love is a cover version of the song appeared in 1997 To Make You Feel My Love by Bob Dylan.
The song My Same rose in 2010, two years after the release of the album, in the German charts after Lena Meyer -Landrut sang the title in the German Song Contest preliminary decision Unser Star für Oslo.

On the album cover, a close-up of Adele's face can be seen. Including law written in white letters " Adele " and appended thereto, in handwriting, the album title " 19" - a reference to her age at the album's release.
Reception
Criticism
Adele's debut album 19 received mixed criticism. laut.de awarded only two stars out of five. Although the German music editors lifts Adele's voice out positively, but criticized the songs. The album would not be enough stand out from " Bedingfield, Winehouse and the likes ." CDStarts stresses the second half of the album as " much better" and fully appreciate the album with eight out of ten stars. The English side Allmusic sees 19 as " excellent debut" in terms of both quality and originality.
