1902 Italian Football Championship

The Italian Football Championship 1902 was the fifth Italian football championship, which by the Federazione Italiana Giuoco Calcio (FIGC ) was held.

Organization

From 2 until 23 March 1902, the regional qualifying matches for the finals took place. The semi-final was held on 6 April 1902.

The final took place on 13 April 1902 the Campo Sportivo di Ponte Carrega in Genoa instead. This met defending champions AC Milan and the then record champions Genoa each other in a rematch of last year's Finals. The Genoa prevailed 2-0 and revengierte for the defeat in the final race. Thus the Genoese won their fourth Italian league titles and were awarded for the first time with the Fawcus Cup.

Despite the home advantage in the Piazza d' Armi FC Torinese lost the semi-finals after two periods of extension. The referee was interestingly Herbert Kilpin, a player of AC Milan set finalists.

Thus, qualified CFC Genoa for the final.
