1905 World Series
The World Series 1905 was the third edition of the modern World Series, the Finals of the Major League Baseball. These were dated 9 October, held until October 14 between the winner of the American League, the New York Giants, and the Philadelphia Athletics winner of the National League. Winner of the inaugural according to the best - of-seven World Series mode were the New York Giants, who won the series 4-1 victories.
It later were a total of nine players who participated in the World Series in 1905, was added to the Baseball Hall of Fame. These were from the New York Giants John McGraw, Roger Bresharan, Christy Mathewson and Joe McGinnity, on the part of Philadelphia Connie Mack, Chief Bender, Eddie Plank and Rube Waddell and the umpire Hank O'Day.
