1923 International Lawn Tennis Challenge
The International Lawn Tennis Challenge 1923 was the 18th edition of the competition organized by the ITF for men's national teams in tennis. For the first time the challenger was not detected against the defending champion in a world group, but in two continental zones of Europe and the Americas zone. This was on the one hand necessary to accommodate the increasing number of participants meet, and on the other hand, in order to simplify logistics and to reduce travel expenses.
The winners of the two zones played a playoff for the final. Here, Australia sat against France clearly by 4-1. In taking place from August 31 to September 3 finale defending champion United States retained but also with 4:1 clearly the upper hand. The United States thus secured the previously eighth title and fourth in a row.
