1924 Soviet Constitution
The Soviet Constitution of 1924 ( Russian Конституция СССР 1924 года ) was the first constitution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics. It was adopted on 6 July 1923 by the Second Session of the Central Executive Committee (CIK ) of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics and entered into force on 31 January 1924. The Soviet Constitution of 1924 was the first all-Russian constitution since the fundamental law of the Empire Russia. It was replaced by the Constitution of 1936 ( " Stalin Constitution ").
Constitution content
The Constitution consisted of a preamble and two paragraphs. The second section is divided into 11 chapters. Overall, the constitution has 72 articles.
