1931–32 La Liga

The Primera División 1931/32 was the 4th season in the history of the Football League. The season started on November 22, 1931 and ended on April 3, 1932.

After the proclamation of the Second Spanish Republic, the use of monarchist symbols and parts of names was banned. Then had to modify their name and their coat of arms numerous clubs before the season starts.

Preseason

  • As defending champion, two-time champion Athletic Bilbao went into the race. Last year's runner-up was Racing Santander.
  • Moved up from Segunda División of the FC Valencia.
