Generally

  • After the seizure of power by the Nazis on 30 January, which was founded in 1925 Reichs- Rundfunk -Gesellschaft ( RRG ) is strengthened and the dissolved previously independent broadcasting companies in Germany. The radio is the most important instrument of propaganda of the Nazis, controlled and directed by the Reich Ministry for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda headed by Joseph Goebbels.
  • August - Leading radio and SPD officials are admitted to the Oranienburg concentration camp.
