1959–60 League of Ireland
The League of Ireland 1959/60 was the 39th season of the highest Irish Football League.
The Limerick FC won the first two titles in the club history, which was won the second 20 years later. This makes the team for the European Cup of Champions 1960/61, be qualified, however, failed there already in the preliminary round with 0:5 and 2:4 at the Swiss master BSC Young Boys.
