1963 Men's European Volleyball Championship
The Volleyball European Championship Men 1963 was held from October 21 to November 2 in Romania. Germany introduced with the Federal Republic and the GDR two of the seventeen participants. The games took place in Bucharest, Brasov, Cluj -Napoca and Targu Mures. The hosts won the title unbeaten.
Mode
First, a preliminary round was held in which 17 participants were divided into three groups of four and one group of five. The top two teams in each group played in the final group of " all against all " for the title. The remaining teams played out the places nine to seventeen. For teams that had already met each other in the preliminary round, the results were included in the evaluation of the final round.
