1969 CONCACAF Championship

The CONCACAF Nations Cup 1967 was the fourth playout of the continental championship in football for North, Central America and the Caribbean was held from November 23 to December 7 in Costa Rica instead. It was played exclusively in the capital San José at the Estadio Nacional, which at the time took 25,000 spectators. The six participants played a simple League round of FFA from the tournament winner.

Qualification

A total of ten nations in the qualifying part. Costa Rica and Guatemala to host the reigning champion is qualified automatically. The ten teams were divided into five groups, with each qualified the winner.

Honduras was disqualified because of the football war with El Salvador, thus automatically qualified for the tournament, the Netherlands Antilles

El Salvador was disqualified because of the football war with Honduras, thus automatically qualified for the tournament in Trinidad and Tobago
