1971 South American Championships in Athletics

The XXVI. Athletics South America Championships were held until October 17, 1971 in Lima on 9. The team competition was won with men, the Brazilian team with 155 points ahead of Argentina with 129 points and above the Venezuelans with 99 points. Behind the Chileans with 97 points reached the Colombians 80 points against Peru and Uruguay with 69 points with 15 points. The Paraguayans were given 5 points and 1 point Ecuador.
