1977 IAAF World Cross Country Championships

The 5th World Cross Country Championships IAAF took place on the Grafenberg racecourse in Dusseldorf ( Germany) on 20 March 1977.

The men started over a distance of 12.3 km, the women more than 5.1 km, and the juniors over 7.5 km.

Detlef Uhlemann won bronze with the first German athlete a medal at World Cross Country Championships.
