1985 Ciudad de México Cup Tournament

The Mexico Cup in 1985 was a small international football tournament which was from June 2 to June 15, 1985 in Mexico, the host of the FIFA World Cup 1986, discharged. The games were held in the capital Mexico City, and indeed all the Estadio Azteca. The peculiarity of the tournament was to split into two competitions - Ciudad de Mexico Cup & Azteca 2000 Tournament - where the last game of the Ciudad de Mexico Cup the first game of the 2000 tournament was Azetca simultaneously.

The tournament served both as a test for the World Cup in 1986 and just for the European team to study the difficult and unfamiliar conditions in the host country.
