1986–87 FA Cup

The FA Cup 1986/87 was the 106th edition of the world's oldest football cup tournament; The Football Association Challenge Cup, or FA Cup shortly. The cup competition ended with the final at Wembley Stadium on May 16, 1987. The winner of this discharge was Coventry City. For final opponents Tottenham Hotspur was the first and to date only defeat in an FA Cup final.

First Main Round

The matches were played on the weekend of November 15, 1986. The replays took place between 17 November and 6 December.

Second Main Round

The games were played until 9 December 1986 on the weekend of the 6th. The replays were held on 9th and 10th of the month.

Third main round

The games were completed on the weekend of the 10th January 1987. Necessary repetition games were scheduled for January 19 to 31.

Fourth Main Round

The games were held until 9 February 1987 of 31 January. The replays required were held on 3 and 4 February.

Fifth Main Round

The meetings were held on 21 and 22 February 1987. The four replays followed on 24 and 25 February, and March 2.

Sixth Main Round

The games were held on 14 and 15 March 1987.

Semifinal

The matches were played on 12 April 1987. The first semi-final between Tottenham and Watford was awarded in the Villa Park in Birmingham. The match between Coventry and Leeds took place at Hillsborough Stadium in Sheffield.
