1992–93 IHL (Russia) season
The 1992/93 season was the first season of the International Hockey League (Russian Межнациональная хоккейная лига / Meschnazionalnaja Chokkejnaja league). The championship was secured by HK Dynamo Moscow.

Main Round
Mode
The 24 teams of the International Hockey League first played in 20 regular season games against each other. The championship was divided into the main round in four groups of six teams. In the following intermediate round, the four groups to the West and East conference were summarized and the teams played the next 22 games, with the results from the main round remained. The first eight teams from each conference who qualified for the play- offs. For a win, each team was given two points, a draw there was a point and a defeat.

The title of the highest-scoring forward line of the season, the teams shared the HK Spartak Moscow and HC Traktor Chelyabinsk. The three strikers scored together 59 goals each.
The most valuable player of the playoffs was awarded Valeri Karpov from HC Traktor Chelyabinsk.
