1992–93 Meistriliiga

The Meistriliiga 1992/93 was the second season of the highest Estonian football league of gentlemen, the Meistriliiga. It was also the second since independence from the Soviet Union in 1991. Was played for the first time in the fall / spring rhythm. The title from the previous year, the FC Norma Tallinn defend successfully.

Course of the season

The league consisted of 2 teams less than in the premieres season 1992. Champion FC Norma Tallinn. Relegated to the Esiliiga were the JK Viljandi Tulevik and Keemik Kohtla -Järve. The association of Kohtla -Järve renounced to remain in the Meistriliiga.

The championship was decided in round second leg. Each team entered twice this time against any other team on. In case of equality was one of the direct comparison. The Estonian Football Cup was won by FC Nikol Tallinn who began the following season in the Europa Cup Winners' Cup and lost there in the first round against Lillestrøm SK. As the reigning champion Norma Tallinn Estonian failed in the 1993/94 Champions League campaign in the first qualifying round to HJK Helsinki.
