1994 African Cup of Nations qualification

Participant

Originally, the final tournament of the African Cup of Nations to be held in Zaire in 1994. But Zaire waived before the start of qualifying games to the hosting of the tournament. Tunisia became the new host of the tournament from 1994, for the 39 teams signed up.

It was played in eight groups, six groups of four. The eight group winners, the group Second group of five and the group Second group of six qualified for the finals tournament in Tunisia.

  • Algeria was excluded because of use of a not eligible player from the tournament finals in Tunisia. Senegal drew after.
