1995 World Series

In the World Series in 1995 the winner of the Major League Baseball was determined for 91 times. As a champion of the American League, the Cleveland Indians were against the Atlanta Braves as a champion of the National League.

The Braves beat the Indians in six games 4-2 and thus won their first title since moving from Milwaukee to Atlanta in 1966 (after two final defeats in 1991 and 1992). For the franchise it was the third overall title (as Boston Braves Milwaukee Braves in 1914 and 1957).

The series started on 21 October 1995 and ended on 28 October 1995. As MVP of the World Series the Braves pitcher Tom Glavine won, who scored two wins in two starts.

The strike of the players in the previous year, which, inter alia, the failure of the World Series led, also showed nor affect the season 1995. because many players do not even regularly trained in their clubs, the season began three weeks until later, so that only 144 ( instead of the usual 162) games were completed for each team.
