1997 Island Games
The Iceland 1997 Games were the seventh edition of the Games. They took place until 28 June 1997 Jersey of 14. It was attended by some 2000 athletes.

Iceland participated for the last time, as independent island states were no longer permitted from 1999. Hitra returned to 1989 and St. Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha after 1987 back to back games.
