1997 UEFA European Under-16 Championship

The 15 U-16 Football Championship was held in the period from April 28 to May 10, 1997 in Germany. The winner was Spain with a 5-4 victory on penalties against Austria. The German team was after a 3-1 victory over Switzerland third. Defending Portugal, as well as final opponents France could not qualify.
