1999 RHI season
The 1999 season was the sixth season played out the Roller Hockey International. The 1998 season was canceled due to financial problems the league and the team. The regular season began for the eight teams in May 1999 and ended in September. There were 26 complete games, the top six teams qualified for the play-offs that went until September. The sixth and last time being Murphy Cup winners were the St. Louis Vipers, which prevailed 8-6 in the finals against the Anaheim Bullfrogs.
Change of teams
The following changes were made before the season:
- As new teams, the Chicago bluesmen and the Dallas Stallions were added.
- The Denver Daredevils, Long Iceland Jawz, Oakland Skates, Orlando Jackals, Ottawa Wheels and the Sacramento River Rats broke up.
- The Minnesota Blue Ox joined the league in again.
- The Oklahoma Coyotes have to Las Vegas Coyotes.

Murphy Cup Playoffs
The two Conference winners were set for the semi-finals, their respective opponents were determined in a first play-off round between the second and third placed teams from the Conference.
