1C Company

1C (Russian Фирма 1С ) is one of the largest independent Russian software developers and publishers. The headquarters of the company founded in 1991, is located in Moscow.

Business

Outside the former Soviet Union 1C is mainly known as a computer game company, but operates in the CIS as a distribution partner for international companies such as Microsoft, Novell and Symantec and developed a variety of proprietary software series. In the former Soviet states 1C has a network of over 8000 dealers in more than 600 cities and operates 280 own stores.

1C also manufactures of international programs, particularly computer games, Russian translations and publish them on the Russian market. The portfolio of 1C belongs 1C: Enterprise, a software suite for companies that will do the tasks like CRM, SRM and personnel management. 1C operates some of their own development studios for computer games, a well-known title is the flight simulation IL -2 Sturmovik by 1C: Maddox.

In February 2008, 1C graduated with Soft Club, another Russian publishers together. Also in 2008, the video game studio Buka Entertainment was acquired.
