2000 AD (comics)

2000 AD is one of the most important British comic series. The anthology is published weekly without interruption since 1977. She is best known for her comic Judge Dredd.

Issue

A 2000 AD edition (called " prog" ) includes 30 mostly color pages with five episodes of various series of independent or separate short comics. The format is approximately 21 × 27.5 cm greater than the U.S. standard size, but smaller than an album. 2000 AD was initially released by the publisher IPC; the current publisher is rebellion.

Over time, 2000 AD has clearly lost its popularity: While in the 80's still more than 100,000 copies sold per issue, there are only about 20,000 today. But since the 90s, a monthly offshoot with other comics, the Judge Dredd Megazine appears. The most popular series from 2000 AD will also be re-released in anthologies.

Authors
