2000 Nottingham Open

The Nottingham Open 2000 was the 6th edition of the lawn tennis tournament in Nottingham. The tournament was the International Series tournament of the ATP part of the male series. It came together with the Heineken Trophy in Rosmalen from 19 to 25 June 2000, instead. Both tournaments are tournaments in preparation for the then held Wimbledon Championships. The prize money was in each case for single and double tournament $ 350,000. In individual 32 players competed against each other in a double there were 16 pairings.

Defending the individual competition was the Frenchman Cedric Pioline, which failed set this year to one in the first round. Instead of winning his four set compatriot Sebastien Grosjean his second title of the season and simultaneously also his career.

In doubles, won the unseeded pairing of Donald Johnson and Piet Norval, which thus began the succession of American doubles from Patrick Galbraith and Justin Gimelstob, who no longer participated this year in this constellation. For Johnson and Norval it was the second joint title of the season and of her career. Previously, both won ten doubles titles with other partners.
