2001–02 Regionalliga

The season 2001/ 02 the Regional was the eighth season of the Regional as the third- highest division in German football. It was in two regional scales - played with 18 teams - North and South.

The champion and runner-up of the scales of the North and South went directly on to the 2nd Bundesliga.

North

The North Season played in the 2001/ 02 season with 18 teams. VfB Lübeck succeeded by winning the championship of the promotion to the 2nd Bundesliga. The runner-up and also the rise secured the Eintracht Braunschweig.

Fortuna Dusseldorf and SC Fortuna Köln increased to a sporty way into the league.
