2002 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship
The U-19 World Cup 2002 Women ( officially the 2002 FIFA U-19 Women's World Championship ) was the first playout of this competition for soccer players under 19 years (deadline: January 1, 1983) and took place from 17 August to 1 September 2002 in Canada. Canada established for the first time in a FIFA tournament. It was played in the cities of Edmonton, Vancouver and Victoria. It was attended by 12 teams in the tournament. Winners were the United States with a 1-0 victory in extra time over hosts Canada. Germany finished third.
