2002 Tiger Cup

The ASEAN Football Championship in 2002 was the fourth edition of the competition. Hosted the championship were Indonesia and Singapore. Participation is open to all Southeast Asian football teams, who belonged to the ASEAN Football Federation.

Tournament

The football tournament was held from December 15 to December 29, 2002 in Indonesia and Singapore. The participating countries were:

  • Singapore Singapore

  • Vietnam

It was played in two groups of five or four teams. The group winners and runners met in the semi-finals each other, the winner of the semi-finals then determined the winner of the ASEAN Cup 2002. Semifinal losers played the tournament from third parties.

Group A

The matches of Group A were held in Gelora Bung Karno Stadium, Jakarta.

Group B

The matches of Group B were held in the National Stadium of Singapore.
