2005–06 Turkish Basketball League

The TBL 2005/06 season was the 40th season of Türkiye Ligi Basketbol. 16 teams, each completed 30 games, took part. The top eight teams qualified for the playoffs. It was the first season with 16 teams. In previous years, before 14 teams played against each other.

The quarter and semi-finals will be played in the play- off rounds in the best- of-five - mode. The finale in the best- of-seven - mode.

Ülkerspor was the last time a Turkish basketball team. After the 2005/ 06 season Ülkerspor merged with the basketball team of Fenerbahce. Since then called the team Fenerbahçe Ülker.
