2005 South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup

The sixth South Asian Football Championship, officially South Asian Football Federation Cup 2005 took place from 3rd to 17th December 2005 in Karachi, Pakistan instead. At the tournament eight South Asian nations took part. South Asia champion in 2005 was India with a 2-0 win over defending champion Bangladesh. It was the first SAFF Cup since 1995 in which no third place was determined.

Venue

As a venue for the South Asian Football Championship in 2005, the Pakistani metropolis of Karachi was chosen. It was Pakistan's second orientation of the South Asian Football Federation Cup in 1993 in Lahore. Venue for all tournament games was the Peoples Football Stadium in Lyari Town district.
