2006 FIVB World Grand Prix
The 2006 season of the Volleyball World Grand Prix was the 14th edition of the competition. It began on August 16 and ended on September 10. Brazil won the title for the sixth time.
Mode
In the preliminary round came at twelve teams. In the first three weeks of three tournaments were held in parallel with four teams. The top five teams overall qualified alongside hosts Italy for the final round. There, the six teams played in two groups of " all against all ". The top two teams from each group met in the semifinals cross each other. The third group played for fifth place.
