2008–09 Icelandic Hockey League season

The 2008/09 season was the 18th season of the Icelandic Hockey League, the highest Icelandic Hockey League. Champion for a fifth time in club history Skautafélag Reykjavík.

Mode

In the main round of the three teams completed every 20 games. The top two teams qualified for the championship final. For one victory after regulation time, each team received three points for a win after overtime two points for a loss after overtime there was a point and a defeat after regular time zero points.
