2008 Faroe Islands Cup
The Faroe Islands Football Cup in 2008, also known as Løgmanssteypið 2008 took place between 15 March and 14 June 2008 and was played for the 54th time. In the final game, which was played in Gundadalur Stadium in Tórshavn on artificial turf, won defending EB / Streymur 3-2 against B36 Tórshavn and could thus win the trophy for the second time.
EB / Streymur and B36 Tórshavn occupied in the championship positions one and three. Since EB / Streymur thus achieved the double, B36 Tórshavn participated in the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League 2009/10 part. With 07 Vestur, AB Argir and TB Tvøroyri reached three second division the quarterfinals.

Eligible were all A- 18 teams in the four Faroese leagues. Specifically, these were:

Mode
All first-and second division were set for the 2nd round. The remaining unterklassigen teams played in a round the remaining two participants. All rounds were played in the knockout system.
First round
The games of the 1st round took place on 15 March.
2nd round
The matches of the second round took place on 20 and 22 March.
Quarterfinals
The quarter-finals were originally supposed to take place on March 24, however, were all postponed to April 2 due to snowfall.
Semifinal
The first legs in the semi-finals were held on April 16, the return legs on 12 May.
Final
The final to be held on June 15 originally, but was pulled back by one day.
