2009–10 ICC Intercontinental Cup
The ICC Intercontinental Cup 2009-10 is the fifth edition of the ICC Intercontinental Cup, the international first-class cricket competition for teams that do not have Test match status.
Mode
The matches will take place between July 2009 and October 2010, with the anticipated final in the United Arab Emirates from 25 - 29th November 2010. Qualified for the tournament, the top six teams in the ICC Cricket World Cup Qualifiers 2009. Moreover, taking the team from Zimbabwe under the name "Zimbabwe XI " in part because its Test match status is suspended since January 2006. The seventh - to tenth- placed teams of the World Cup qualifiers for the first time carry out the "ICC Intercontinental Shield". These games also have first-class status.

On 29 September 2010, announced that Zimbabwe will not deny his last game against Scotland. As a result, Scotland was awarded the victory and was able to compete in the final against Afghanistan.
