2009 Lusophony Games

Unity is stronger than the victory.

The second Jogos da Lusofonia (German 2nd Lusophone Games) took place in Lisbon, Portugal from 10 to 19 July 2009. The Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries multi-sport event was organized by the Association of Portuguese -speaking Olympic Committee ( ACOLOP ). It was attended by nine members of the ACOLOP (Angola, Brazil, Guinea- Bissau, Cape Verde, Macau / China, Mozambique, East Timor, Portugal and São Tomé and Príncipe ) and three associate members (Equatorial Guinea, India and Sri Lanka). At the games in 2009 competitions were held in nine different sports.
