2011–12 Romanian Hockey League season

The 2011/12 season was the 82nd season of the Romanian Hockey League, the highest Romanian Hockey League. Champion for the 13th time overall in club history, the HSC Csíkszereda.

Mode

In the main round each of the six teams completed a total of ten games. The top three teams qualified directly for the final round, the participants all again qualified for the playoffs, where the Master was played. The three last placed the main round played the last participants of the final round among themselves in a qualifying round. For one victory after regulation time, each team received three points with a victory after overtime, there were two points, a draw one point and a defeat after regular time zero points.

Main Round

The HSC Csíkszereda won the main round with 14 wins from 16 games.

Qualifying round

MOL rating

The three major Romanian clubs were ranked according to the results of encounters with each other in the MOL Liga. Miercurea Ciuc was thus directly qualified for the play-offs, the other two were playing in the final round of the championship.

Final round

The first three qualified Miercurea Ciuc in addition to the semi-finals.

Semifinal

The semi-final took place in Best-of -Five mode.

3rd Place Match

The 3rd place match was conducted in the best- of-five mode.

Final

The finale was carried out in the best- of-seven mode.
